Registered Social Worker
Lindsay is a compassionate and experienced Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a strong background in supporting adolescents and adults, aged 16-65, facing various psychosocial challenges. With a focus on trauma, depression, anxiety, mild traumatic brain injuries, self-esteem and self-compassion issues, loss, caregiver and employment burnout, boundary setting, and relational difficulties, Lindsay brings ample expertise to her practice.
Employing a diverse range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Humanistic Therapy, Lindsay tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. She is dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive environment, operating from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist framework, ensuring clients feel validated and empowered to leverage their strengths in their healing journey.
Currently, Lindsay works at both Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and BrainSpace Clinic, where she is supervised by Dr. Lemire-Rodger. At Sunnybrook, Lindsay collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patients recovering from traumatic injuries, emphasizing social and emotional rehabilitation. Prior to joining BrainSpace Clinic, Lindsay worked extensively with vulnerable populations, including young people experiencing homelessness and human trafficking at Covenant House Toronto, as well as adults facing housing instability and substance use issues as a member of the Street Outreach Team at the City of Toronto. Additionally, Lindsay served as a child protection worker at the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, supporting children and families involved with the society, following her role as a Care Coordinator at Home and Community Care Support Services.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Lindsay finds joy in exploring different cultures through travel, savoring culinary experiences, and indulging in true crime documentaries and romance films. Committed to continuous personal and professional growth, Lindsay actively seeks opportunities to expand her skills and knowledge, reflecting her dedication to both her clients and her own development.
